Dans une récente interview donné au magazine King, Nas aborde plusieurs sujets intéressants.
D'abords il revient sur la rumeur qui disait que Def Jam allait le virer s'il ne changeait pas le titre de son album.
"Somebody told me that (one) about me getting dropped. That sounds funny, though. I guess that just stays a rumor. But I enjoy those rumors too, because that means there’s fear."
Puis il clarifie la situation sur la polémique de son titre "These Are Our Heroes" (extrait de l'album "Street's Disiple" sortie en 2004) en précisant que si il avait fait des reproches à Taye Diggs, Cuba Gooding Jr et Tiger Woods, c'était par rapport à leur caractère et surtout pas parce que leur femmes sont blanches...
"Tiger Woods standing up for this white lady who said something about him being lynched is a coon move to me,” Nas explains. "God bless the brother. I like to see him doing his thing, but that’s a flaw in his character. That’s an issue I would have with Tiger Woods; not who he is married to."

Pour finir il révèle quelques informations sur sa relation avec Biggie et notamment que ce dernier lui avait demandé de se joindre à lui contre Tupac dans le beef Pac/Biggie, puis d'ajouter que sur son titre "The Message" (extrait de son 2ème album "It Was Written") il visait Biggie et non Tupac comme certain le pensait.
"On a song I did on my second album, Tupac thought it was about him, but it was really towards Biggie. From the first lines all the way to, 'One life, one love, there can only be one king.' That was specifically going in that direction. The whole fucking song, really. Tupac was not even on my radar for going at him."
Nas - "The Message"
D'ailleurs Biggie lui aurait répondu dans le titre "Kick In The Door" avec cette phrase "Your reign on the top was short like leprechauns."
