Cormega prépare la sortie de son nouvel album solo "Born & Raised" pour cette année, et lors d'une interview avec le site HipHopDX on lui a posé la question habituelle sur Nas et leur relation, mais il n'a pas voulu y répondre tout en précisant qu'il n'avait pas de problème avec Nas:
"Aww man, I don’t wanna answer no more questions about that guy. I answer so many questions about him. And I’ve yet to see an interview where they ask him a question about me… I don’t wanna talk about him, ‘cause he damn sure don’t talk about me. [But] it’s all peace [though]."Pour rappel ils ont enterré leur beef en 2005, et fin 2006 Nas a invité Cormega a son traditionnel concert du 26 décembre à New York. On se rappel qu'il y a quelques semaines, le 26 décembre 2008, AZ a rejoint Nas sur scène; il en fallait pas plus pour que les fans espèrent une réunion du quator d'origine du groupe The Firm (Nas, AZ, Cormega & Foxy Brown). Cormega s'exprime sur ce sujet:
"See the funny thing about The Firm you gotta understand is, I don’t think about that shit. I was down [with The Firm] but I wasn’t. The album came out [but] I wasn’t on it. So [after that] I cleansed myself of that shit… I’m still cool with all of them, but I don’t think about that shit. I laugh about it. Me and AZ laughed about it recently, maybe last year. He was like, ‘You know if we’re gonna do a reunion you gotta be down. You know we gotta do that.’ And I was like, ‘I ain’t down with The Firm.’ And he started laughing. Like, I don’t think about that shit, for real."
